Tell me....what was the water temperature (in the second photo) - I like it cold and murky? It's probably some kind of self-loathing that makes me put myself through dives like that!
The Indiana picture was taken at a quarry that is now used exclusively for diving. A 3 mm full wetsuit is adequate if one stays above the thermocline. The temperature was probably 70 to 75 F when this photo was taken in summer. I did my certification dives at this same quarry in early October and needed a 5 mm ful wetsuit, plus hood.

Ah, quarry dives.
I have done one or two of those before. Despite living on the coast.
I would not have attempted them in a wetsuit.....and certainly not a 3mm!

I feel so left out. Even my enginerd brother is SCUBA certified.
Neither of you have a world famous horse, though. :-p
